Master Document
Agreed, the Master Document feature in MS Word is a travesty. Anyone who uses it takes a chance of losing a manuscript. But, this feature can be implemented correctly. It works safely, and as advertised, in WordPerfect and StarOffice. The benefits to a writer are tremendous. Chapters can be written ...

Been a long time...
Hello RSSOL, It's been a very long time (approaching a year) since an update appeared. I've been very vocal about us all being patient since I have always been impressed by the stability of added features, but I think it's time registered users received some indication of the future and viability of ...
Re: As to Atlantis being near death...
As to Atlantis being near death, this may be so. Greetings-- This is to set everybody’s mind at rest. Atlantis is not near death at all. Actually, Atlantis is getting along nicely. These alleged news about Atlantis being near death are just a figment of one poster's imagination who obviously has m ...
Okay, just my 2-cents worth. Tables are an important feature, and Atlantis will not be a full-featured word processor until table support is implemented. And I agree, RSSOL has been very slow in releasing updates, and I wish the administrators would be more forthcoming with release schedules and ...

Lost everything
Hello Andre: Been there, done that... but never with Atlantis. I lost a big chunk of a manuscript using Word's Master Document feature (which I learned the hard way is dangerous and buggy). I'm currently finishing a second novel using Atlantis, and it works very well for me. Robert gives some very ...

Novel format
Hello Andre: Here's my 2-cents worth. 1. Start with a title page. Put your author information (name, address, phone, email, etc.) on the bottom right of the page. On the top right list the approx. word count. Center the title in bold, all caps, mid-way down the page, with your name or pen name below ...

I voted no, because I have found that WordWeb works great with Atlantis and I don't want to see Atlantis start to bloat and become unruly. I agree, tables are more important. You can check out WordWeb at www.wordweb.info. The free version works fine for me.

Headers/Footers
Sorry, just had to ask... Any revised estimate on when headers and footers will be implemented? Also, re: a previous post of mine... Are there any plans in a future release of Atlantis to implement some sort of Master Document feature (the ability to expand separate chapter files into a Master ...

What writers need...
Atlantis has the potential of being THE word processor for writers. It's almost there. It's fast, lean, and reliable. I applaud the recent addition of MS Word compatability, because that is the format (whether we like it or not) that is required in most submissions. I think Rising Sun needs to ...
