I suspect this could be related to selecting "Small/Large Fonts" for XP's Desktop settings. (Can remember, but I think it's "Large Fonts".) Right-click on an empty part of your desktop and select Properties | Settings | Advanced. Look in the "Display" section, in the DPI setting drop-down box.

I'd like a list of Biblical names & places. I use the NKJV, ESV, NIV & NLT so I don't need the Elizabethan english words.

Atlantis already has a "Word Count" toolbar button. You can also use the "Tools | Word Count" menu command. I believe he's asking for an option to show the current word count in the status bar so it would be continually on display. Perhaps this could be a dual-figure e.g. "200:453" indicating that ...

Pattern, Formatted Search & Replace

I hope you look at a powerful search & replace engine. I can do certain things in MS Word but I'd like more. I do a lot of Biblical writing. In Word I can so a formatted search & replace to convert: (1) Line One (2) Line Two to (1) Line One (2) Line Two by using: \(*\) in the Find What box and: ^p ...

Will Atlantis support HTML within the next 12 months?

I did a search on "metafile" in the forum and found that the IE to Atlantis no-graphics problem was mentioned as far back as 10th June 2001. At the time the reply given was that Atlantis did not support HTML yet. The wording of that reply and others to do with metafiles led me to believe that it was ...

Thanks for fixing this so quickly and also for the freeware link. :) I tried deliberately running the margin out of my printers printable area (.1") but the preview doesn't seem any different than the old preview. Atlantis isn't indicating what would be clipped. Work OK here. Could not exceed ...

This is OK if you habitually open multiple docs, but it does consume an extra line of the display. I prefer the Alt-1, Alt-2, Alt-3 etc. document-switching hotkeys.

I see the "space after paragragh" is conditional i.e. no space if Both the "space before paragraph" and "space after paragraph" characteristics are "optional". Atlantis "removes" (does not display) them when they are not required. You are right. I was confused by the highlighting of a selection ...

I see the "space after paragragh" is conditional i.e. no space if next paragraph begins at the top of the page. Perhaps "space before" could be made the same, or an option to use conditional spaces before paras be part of Tools | Options. I've got into the bad habit of puttting a hard CR in ...

TWAIN Registration

I'm not having any success getting Omipage 9.0 to add "Aquire Text" and "Acquire Text Settings" to Atlantis' File menu. I had no problem doing this with 602Text: just open the WP, load a doc, go into Omnipage | Tools | Options | OCR Aware | browse to 602Text's EXE and add it to the registered ...

The "Open document"/"Save document"/"Open picture"/"Save picture" dialogs are resizable in the latest build of Atlantis. Thanks. Thank you. That is a definite improvement. Bigger File Dialog Boxes

I find Atlantis' File | Open box too small. Using Details view I get 6 files, compared to Word 2000, 14, and Word 2002 with its fullscreen selection box, 50 on a 1280x1024 screen. As well, the preview option works well in Word 2002 because the text is quite readible without double-clicking. Is there ...

automatic creaation of bookmarks when pasting from a webpage

I highlighted the script language within the rectangular section at http://www.unifront.boereck.de/script.html and pasted it in Atlantis for a bit of tidy-up work before printing. I noticed that Atlantis automatically created a series of bookmarks at the bottom of the document. What criterion did it ...

Cropping an image

I don't believe you can currently crop a picture. If not, I want to request it. I'd prefer the way you do in in Pagemaker where, after cropping, you can still click on the image and move it around as a greyed-image until you release it so you can, of example, play around with recentering it to get ...

If you use the 'Document Title' field you can enter any name you wish under File>Properties without having to zoom into the footer to edit. Also, if you need the field name to be empty, just use one spacebar press and then you won't see "(None)" as a field name. Thanks, I work like that in the ...

Re: custom fields

As I understand things, you want to use custom "titles" in your footers, and not, for example, the document filename. Then why not simply click inside the target section first footer and enter your desired "title"? Even if you had a blank field to enter custom inputs, how could such a field ever be ...
