Apostrophes

Looking for help on smart quotes in Atlantis - I came across my own message from 2004! I note that Atlantis intelligently supports left and right quotes and apostrophes... (single and double quotes) - unless you want to replace an unintelligent single quote (a vertical bar) with an intelligent ...

Out of memory

I imported a text file of 700 KB (180 pages). It was full of unnecessary new lines which messed up the formatting,. So I tried the following: 1) replace ^p^p by #$ 2) replace ^p by a space 3) replace #$ by ^p^p. It was slow but memory use was normal until stage 3). At that point it rose rapidly from ...

My modest wish list

I would like "track changes" and import of html formatting (from a webpage). I now know to use Word with boxes and that doesn't really bother me.
But for writing, correcting and quick printing web info, the above please.
Is that modest enough? :-)

Virus warning?

Avira won't let me download the latest Atlantis and says it is from a potential phishing site??
It also recently wanted to quarantine something from the Atlantis folder. Any ideas?

unicows malware

I just ran malwarebytes on one of my machines and it tagged unicows.dll in the Atlantis directory as malware? What's going on? (BTW - this forum software is strange. I noticed I haven't asked to be notified of a reply, so went back into edit my message. I was then told I couldn't post another ...

Re: HTML paste

I see Atlantis now has html copy and my heart leapt, but it turns out not to be html paste. I often want to copy an edited web page and print it (without menu etc... and now know i have to resort to Word or Google docs because Atlantic can't accept a paste with e.g. formatting or pictures. Even when you are working as administrator, you still need to run the program as administrator.

Sorry, but we do not plan to conduct compatibility tests under the beta versions and “release candidates” of Windows Vista. The consumer versions of Windows Vista are expected on January 30, 2007. Before that date, no Vista-related changes to Atlantis should be expected. But Vista was released to bu ...

Do you mean that you can now import "non-compact" Atlantis RTFs to Final Draft?
I can NOT import supercompact.

I shall mail two scripts (one Atlantis SC and one MS Word).

Re: RTF and Final Draft

What happens if you copy from Atlantis, then paste into Final Draft? Robert THat's not the same andf works okay. If you open a rtf ift asks if you have to import as script or text. It looks like the compact rtf is the problem. The start looks like this: BAD\b0 Second draft, versie 30 augustus 2004 ...

RTF and Final Draft

I regularly use the screenwriting software Final Draft (6). Final Draft can import scripts from RTF, but not from Altantis rtf (be it super compact or not). I now have to dust off and fire up Messy Word to import into Final Draft successfully, otherwise I end up with a script full of rtf code. WHat ...

That I did know, but the logic of putting a 'st' afterwards escapes me entirely. I assure you there is no possible reason EVER to adjectivise a Roman numeral like that!

Strange bug

I thought I knew all the numbers, having finished primary school, but I think Atlantis has just found a new one. :) If you type the word LIST in capital letters at the beginning of a line, then for some reason Atlantis decides that the last two letters should be superscript. Is LI a number? Regards ...

Alt-numpad and accents.

I know it's terribly old-fashioned and that Atlantis now supports Unicode... but I still find it easiest to add the occasional é with Alt-130. But it doesn't work in Atlantis any more... I get a ?.

Can we have it then please? The Atlantis Open/Save dialogs have a different design than the standard Windows Open/Save dialogs or the corresponding dialogs in MS Word. Where's the Places Bar?

For some reason, Atlantis' open/save files dialog seems to have scrapped the Places Bar. I see instructions for changing the Places bar in windows at e.g. http://windowsxp.mvps.org/PlacesBar.htm and (for MS Office) http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=282087. Is this a missing feature, or am I missing ...
