Headers/Footers

Post by billybob »

Sorry, just had to ask...

Any revised estimate on when headers and footers will be implemented?

Also, re: a previous post of mine...

Are there any plans in a future release of Atlantis to implement some sort of Master Document feature (the ability to expand separate chapter files into a Master Document for consistent manuscript editing, printing and pagination)? This would be very beneficial.

Keep up the good work.

Probably they will be available this year.

Well, I do not rule out that it will be implemented one day. But nothing definite yet.

headers/footers and doc merge

Billy Bob's right. This is an extremely powerful program, yet it is crippled as far as producing camera ready work. Too bad, as it is nicer than MSWord.
Any further estimate when this will be fully functional? The header is critical.

Are you folks getting closer to the minor revision referenced earlier? I am patiently waiting, but my editor/publisher is not... Thanx for an excellent product!

Well, you know it is hard to wait. Probably cos we all expect a big step forward for Atlantis and new possibilities for us to do more and better stuff with our favourite word processor.

Unfortunately, my wait for header/footer support has temporarily come to an end, as this has put a halt to progress on my project. I am forced to again use MSWord. Damn. Please e-mail to sailor@sitka.zzn.com when this revision is out so I may revert to Atlantis. Thanx for such a nice product, and I am looking forward to once again being able to utilize Atlantis.

Come on developers, you have a lot of interest in your product. Real people saying that Atlantis could replace Word. Instead of being so vague about things like Headers & Footers, why not show willing an issue an update? Also, some method to link several documents, for automatic page number update would be marvellous.

Sounds like very good news. :P I do hope you've also solved the small problem with page numbers? In case you haven't seen the earlier post, whenenver I try to start page numbering at anything other than 1, nothing happenes. This is under WinMe, and it's Atlantis Ocean Mind version 1.1.2.8.
