When I change the colour of text after a few times Atlantis takes over and makes it complicated to go on selecting text and colouring it. Also whatever this toggle is, it disables the ability to highlight to delete or do other text functions.
It's driving me crazy!!!!! Please how do I switch this off so I stay in control of highlighting and colours?

Stop auto control of font colour

I am not sure that understand the problem correctly.
Note: When the "Font Color" toolbar button is in the pressed state, any newly typed text gets formatted with the current color of the "Font Color" toolbar button.
The same regarding the "Highlight" toolbar button: when the "Highlight" toolbar button is in the pressed state, any newly typed text gets highlighted with the color of the "Highlight" toolbar button.
The same regarding the "Format Brush" toolbar button. When this button is checked, Atlantis automatically applies the "Format Brush" to any newly typed text.
You could simply press Esc in order to "uncheck" any of these 3 buttons.

Thanks (and a bit more)
Thanks I'll try using Esc
I am not sure I understand the buttons being "in a pressed state" though. When I want blue text I just highlight the text dropdown the colour list and click blue. Then if I want to repeat the same colour I highlight and click the A button, which is already blue.
But it often gets stuck and then I cant get other colours. And when it does that if I try to highlight to change to Bold or Delete or Copy or something it just changes the colour and won't respond to keyboard commands like Ctrl+B etc
Am I doing something wrong?
