Envelope printing

Post by Jeff »

Greetings. I am testing Atlantis. So far I like it, but can't find a way to print envelopes. I searched the forum but the term envelope scored no hits.

Is envelope printing possible now? Will it be soon?

Thanks, Jeff

About 15 Envelopes Settings

Post by denis martindale »

See File Menu, Page Settings, then the tab for Page Format.

There is the confusion of inches versus mms. The Tools/Options/General can reset eg inches, cms/mms, picas, points.

Each printer will have its own default minimum margins which may cause extra problems, so check the manuals for extra info and each document for page margin offsets, headers/footers etc...

Envelopes...When?

Post by Jay L. »

To Admin,

You mentioned in a post back in June about a minor update to Atlantis that will have envelope formatting and printing. Any hints as to when that version will be released?

I tried the suggestion to choose an envelope from the Page Settings menu, but it only creates a document the size and shape of an envelope, but all the formatting is wrong.

Thanks,
JAY

Atlantis Ocean Mind 1.5.1 (beta version) should be available in a few next weeks.

I've tested "envelope printing" in Atlantis 1.5.1.4. and had problems with it... (have WinXP and Minolta Laser 1100L) Envelope format: C6; I inserted an envelope in the designated paper feeder. Nothing. Then I tried a normal A4-paper. Then I realized that the adresses were printed, but only at the end of the not at the beginning. I put the envelope on the A4-Paper and let them through. Now everything was ok! Did I anything wrong? Or is it a bug? Must say that the quality of the printing was perfect, the margins fit perfectly but at the other side of the Paper! (not at beginning but at the end) What can I do? Now I can't use the normal envelope feeding but have to put the envelope on a normal A4 paper. Any idea?

Please choose "Tools | Envelopes... > Print", then click the "Properties..." button. This dialog should include a list of paper sizes. Is C6 among these paper sizes?

What if you manually select the C6 paper size in this dialog? Does this make a difference?

Now I also changed the paper size in the printer driver-dialog manually to C6 (Width=114mm, Height=162mm). and... it does make a difference :-). With this adjustment it works fine! By the way I compared the envelope printing of Atlantis with the one of Word. It's a bit annoying in Word that there are limits for the margins (max- left margin=7,62) So the delivery adress is printed nearly centered. Atlantis doesn't make such "peculiar" things...
