I just installed Atlantis and like it very much so far. I got it mainly for the purpose of writing all my documents in the german language.
Natually I installed the ad-on german spellchecker from the www.rssol.com site.
After installation I discovered that even after setting the language default to german, that when writing a document in german the spellchecker always jumps back to english.
Will I have this problem even after registering this software, or am I missing something here?
Thanks for all the assistance someone will give me on this subject.

German spellcheck enhancement?
Hi! I've used Atlantis now for a couple of weeks and I must say it's really good work an fine software.
I'm from Austria and so I use Atlantis for writing german texts. I couldn't believe that the german spellcheck could work at all in view of the file size. First I was surprised at the high recognition, but then I found out some lacks: Atlantis often recognised inflections of Words but not the "basic words" (example: "bedanke" accepted but not the infinitive "bedanken", the basic word "dafür" is marked as wrong...
It won't be a problem to add a word-list as I've read (http://www.rssol.com/forum/viewtopic.ph ... spellcheck)
...But it comes worse: wrong expressions aren't marked. (i.e. "ansich" between "an" and "sich" must be a space, in spite of that it isn't marked as wrong. Yes I must commit: German isn't often regular
But "diese" (eng. this), dafür, "idee" ("Ideen" is in the dic.!) , "desto" (je..desto=the...the), "dazu", etc.
----
OOps... There just popped up a notification on my window: Access violation at adress 017F98B5 in mudule "ssce5332.dll" read of address 01080000.
(may be the fault was caused by my hardware, I somtimes got "read" errors which probably are in touch with my RAM (?) ). A few times Atlantis was knocked down, but you can make what ya want... it seems Atlantis never lose data, Atlantis "crashed" and then it asked me, if where I'd like to save the file tzz, word or any other program woudn't even say "goodbye"...
I guess the algorithm of the spellchecker has still to be worked out a bit... At least please add the basic forms of the words, too! If setSystems will to the enhancement for the germanophones?

Did you install 2 copies of Atlantis on your system?
For example, did you install the current official release of Atlantis in a folder, and the betatesting version in a different folder?
If this is the case, and you have one "Spellcheck" sub-folder in each of the 2 home folders of Atlantis on your system, could you please delete the whole "Spellcheck" folder with all sub-folders and files from the betatesting home folder of Atlantis?
When this is done, launch the current official release of Atlantis, then use the "Tools | Options > Spellcheck tab" command. Click on the "Spellcheck Systems & Dictionaries..." button.
In the "Spellcheck Systems & Dictionaries" dialog, remove any duplicate entries found in the "Spellcheck systems" upper left box.
Now please close the current official release of Atlantis on your system.
Then launch the betatsting release of Atlantis and also remove any duplicate entries from the installed "Spellcheck systems" (if any).
On the contrary, if "Spellcheck systems" are missing in the "Spellcheck Systems & Dictionaries" dialog of this betatesting copy of Atlantis, click the "Add" button.
Then point the browser to the "...\Spellcheck\Lex" sub-folder under the home folder of the official release of Atlantis.
In this way, you will end up having
1) only one "Spellcheck" sub-folder (under the home folder of the official release of Atlantis).
2) and both versions of Atlantis (official and betatesting) pointing to the (default) "Spellcheck" sub-folder on your system (installed in the home of the official release of Atlantis).
Please let us know if this helped.
Cheers
Robert
