I'm very picky about software. I have to be well convinced before purchasing anything. But Atlantis OM won my feelings the same moment I installed the trial version. I was about to take out my credit card, but... it does not support tables! That's so strange! The app is so cool in every aspect - that it's so small, fast, simple, customizable, good looking, functional, excellent - but no support for tables?! It's strange - why?
So, I'm doubting now...
Could you give us some more facts on whether table support is really planned for the next release? When? Could you give us approximate time? It's really a very important feature. At least basic support for tables (no fancy customization) is essential for any word processor. This is the feature that just set me back. And I don't know whether to buy Atlantis, or not.
I hope you understand me.
Cheers!

Why oh why?! TABLES!

As already stated many times on the “Feature Request” section of this forum, all the major features of modern top-end word processors—including tables of course—will eventually be implemented in Atlantis. But regrettably we cannot give you any definite schedule.
Even though some might not realize it, there are hours—often weeks or months—of hard dedicated work behind every click that you give in Atlantis. We are a small team and as we all know Rome wasn't built in a day. Please bear with us, and use Atlantis for what it can already deliver.
Also we can tell you for sure that the next Atlantis upgrade due to be released in the next few months will include full support for bulleted and numbered lists.
Cheers
Robert
Re: Why oh why?! TABLES!
The problem with implementing all features requested is that the thing most of us like most about Atlantis is the fact that it is so small and fast. The more features you implement, the slower it will get. If I really want all those features, then I'll just use Word anyway. :-(Robert wrote: As already stated many times on the “Feature Request” section of this forum, all the major features of modern top-end word processors—including tables of course—will eventually be implemented in Atlantis. Atlantis is small and fast indeed, and we intend to keep it that way.
So even though Atlantis will have more features in the future, this does not mean that it'll be significantly slower at all.
Also by "all the major features of modern top-end word processors" we do mean the "major" features, not all of them. Atlantis will never become a hold-all for all programmable functions and fanciful features.
The Atlantis Setup files will of course get heavier as more features are added, but they will never become as bloated as some might fear. At all events, we will keep Atlantis small and compact.
Cheers
