Do you guys have the latested video drivers installed? What about Direct X? There are quite a few benefits installing the latest version, in terms of display quality, performance, etc. I hope this helps.

I installed the last update and switched to 32 bit, still the icons are black. All my drivers are up to date.

Everything up tp date here as well.

Does anyone have the icons displayed correctly at 32 bits? If so, what video card are you using.
It seemed like a lot of people with problems are using Radeon cards.

Icons

Hi: yes, I have the icon issue with ATI Radeon 9800, using 32 bits. I also have a laptop that uses an S3 ProSavage but no icon problem with that at 32 bits. Radeon cards would seem to be a prime suspect.

Mine is a Nvidia Geforce Fx 5200. I'm running in 32 bit mode. No problems. Actually, when I upgraded from an ATI card I noticed a better display quality (digital).

Hi,

I have the same problem with the a4 build using a radeon 7000 video card.
I have installed ATI's Catalyst driver and now instead of the black icon background there is a muddy brown colour that I can see the icons through.

I've also noticed that if I open Atlantis in 16 bit mode and then switch to 32 bit mode there isn't a problem. Only works while I leave Atlantis open and the pc on, reverts to muddy brown if I close and reopen Atlantis.

Apart from this I like the new features.

Starting in 16Bit and switching to 32Bit works on my machine, too. But anyway no final solution.

Help with the Ocon Problem

Have any of the developers thought of asking ATI to help them fix the icon problem?

We will certainly conduct tests on computers with ATI Radeon cards. I hope this will be sufficient to find a solution. But this will take some time.
