HELP! No bookmarks!

I adore Atantis and have used it and recommended it widely since very early in its life.
But I just upgraded to 1.6.1.1 - and I can't insert a bookmark so I can't use hyperlinks to places in documents. I rely heavily on these for guide docs to my students.
Existing bookmarks work.
There is no listing in Help for bookmarks. There is an embedded link under Hyperlinks, but it gets a 404 not found.

In Atlantis 1.5.4 (and higher), bookmarks are managed through the "Bookmarks" panel of the Atlantis Control Board. You can still use the Shift+Alt+B keys for creating new bookmarks. But if you need to view the bookmark list, delete bookmarks, rename bookmarks, etc, you should use the "Bookmarks" panel of the Atlantis Control Board. Please see the following page for details:
