RTF and Final Draft

I regularly use the screenwriting software Final Draft (6). Final Draft can import scripts from RTF, but not from Altantis rtf (be it super compact or not).
I now have to dust off and fire up Messy Word to import into Final Draft successfully, otherwise I end up with a script full of rtf code.
WHat's up with Atlantis rtf that it floors Final Draft?

It would be more correct to forward this question to the Final Draft team.
Atlantis generates RTFs in compliance with the MS Word RTF Specification. There is no problem with the Atlantis RTFs. All major word processing applications open the Atlantis RTFs properly.

THat's not the same andf works okay. If you open a rtf ift asks if you have to import as script or text. It looks like the compact rtf is the problem.
The start looks like this:

Do you mean that you can now import "non-compact" Atlantis RTFs to Final Draft?

I can NOT import supercompact.

I shall mail two scripts (one Atlantis SC and one MS Word).

In your first post you said:

If you say that you cannot import supercompact RTFs, then import non-supercompact RTFs. Uncheck the "Supercompact RTFs" box in the "Tools | Options... > Load/Save" dialog, and resave your "supercompact RTF" document.

Supercompact RTFs are proper RTF documents created in compliance with the MS Word RTF Specification. The problem is that some word processing applications have a limited support for the RTF Specification. Here is an excerpt from the MS Word RTF Specification:

A carriage return (character value 13) or linefeed (character value 10) will be treated as a \par control if the character is preceded by a backslash.

Probably the Final Draft developers have not noticed the above paragraph from the RTF Specification.
