Error Report:

Robert:

This was also reported via Email, and I will try to attach the image here as well:

Atlantis Error Report
Sunday July 30, 2006

Version: Atlantis Word Processor 1.6.1.3

Action: Hold down CTRL and select a graphic, and the following "hard" error occurs.

Priority: Critical and destructive error! There's NO way out of this error, outside of closing Atlantis down "by force", and restarting Atlantis. Data loss may be possible, but Atlantis usually recovers any data on the next Atlantis re-start.

The idea is that "maybe" when you have a graphic that has a "hot link" with it, selecting something (in this case, I tried the CTRL key) will purposely stop Atlantis from trying to launch the link, in this case as in calling the link in a web browser.

This "hard error" really should be handled better than it is, and perhaps better to allow this need (the need being: selecting something will purposely stop Atlantis from trying to launch the link, as in calling the link in a web browser) to also be handled better?

Feature Requests:

1. Some way to deal with text boxes, text and graphics IN boxes or containers, or other complicated forms.

2. Optional: Macro's might be welcome idea in a future version.

IMPORTANT:

I am also preparing to perform product reviews AND ALSO podcasts and videocasts where I would like to make Atlantic the main topic. I will be contacting the Atlantis "management and programmers," and would appreciate any contact back from them to me at this time.

Joe

Strictly speaking, the error message is displayed when you Ctrl+click a selected picture.

A fix will be included in any next release of Atlantis.

Thanks for reporting this.

Text boxes are planned for future versions of Atlantis.

Of course, we will be glad to answer to your questions. You can write to support@AtlantisWordProcessor.com

A fix will be included in any next release of Atlantis. If you need this fix right now, please download the following ZIP file:
http://www.atlantiswordprocessor.com/en ... _1_3a3.zip
and unpack its contents to the home folder of Atlantis (by default, to "C:\Program Files\Atlantis").
