I am compiling some of my Atlantis documents into ebooks.
The html conversion on Save Special operates very well on text, colours, highlighting, even graphics - but it isn't picking up on the website links I have in my documernts.
Is there something I'm missing?
I generally type in a web address like this www.atlantiswordprocessor.com
then insert the hyperlink on it.
What else do I need to do?
My staff and students are all REQUIRED to get Atlantis by the way to ensure compatibility as we send each other files.
I can fix this URL problem myself via html (though would rather not when handling a lot of files to convert). But my staff don't know html so I need to make the procedure simple for them. Hopefully Atlantis to the rescue as usual.

More on the mystery links
I just tried updating Atlantis with a minor upgrade that puts a Copy as html button on the toolbar. But it greys out in most of the docs I open!
Also tried a test document displaying links in different ways.
I think the html conversion needs me to use http://
BUT that worked only when Atlantis offered me to View the new html page.
All seemed well - all links worked whether I'd used the hyperlink button on the toolbar or not, as long as either the page text or the hyperlink button had the http:// type of link in it.
However when I tried opening the resulting html page in a browser - the links didn't work.
They seem to be attempting to open the target from the drive on my pc where the original Atlantis document is. Instead of aiming at the link URL - as it's attempting to load, the URL shows on the end of a filepath on my pc.
Have tried both Firefox and Avant Browser (IE clone)

If you have both “Autocorrect as you type” and “Format Internet addresses with hyperlinks” checked in the “Tools | AutoCorrect Options…” dialog, you won’t have to format the URLs manually. It will be done automatically by the Atlantis AutoCorrrect as soon as you type one more character after the URL.“I generally type in a web address like this www.atlantiswordprocessor.com, then insert the hyperlink on it. ”
The “Copy as HTML” button/command only works on a selection. Also it is only meant for copy/paste operations from Atlantis into applications that have support for the HTML format. You will use it mainly to copy/paste selections from Atlantis into an email client message window. The “Copy as HTML” command will ensure that the pictures in your selection are pasted with the rest of the text. This is not always the case with the standard “Copy” (Ctrl+C) command.“I just tried updating Atlantis with a minor upgrade that puts a Copy as html button on the toolbar. But it greys out in most of the docs I open!”
You are right. It seems that Atlantis needs the “http” prefix to create a proper HTML link in the saved Web page. Let’s hope this gets fixed in the upcoming version.“I think the html conversion needs me to use http://”
The “http” links created by Atlantis work on my XP system when the pages are opened in MS Internet Explorer 7. Note that I don’t have either Firefox or Avant Browser to check.“However when I tried opening the resulting html page in a browser - the links didn't work. … Have tried both Firefox and Avant Browser (IE clone)”

There is no "Ctrl+K, K" hot key within the default set of hot keys of Atlantis Word Processor. By default, the "Insert | Hyperlink..." command of Atlantis has no hot key assigned. You could assign the desired hot key to this command through the "Tools | Hot Keys..." menu command.
Note that you could not use the following hot keys in Atlantis:
Ctrl+K
Ctrl+Shift+K
Shift+Alt+K
They are reserved to allow support for the so called compound hot keys. Please see a note at the bottom of the following Help topic:

Ah, yes I remember now - I had to choose 'Ctrl+K, K' as that was the closest to the standard 'Ctrl+K' I could get to minimise the 'friction' of having different hotkeys for standard commands between applications.admin wrote:There is no "Ctrl+K, K" hot key within the default set of hot keys of Atlantis Word Processor.
Personally, I'd prefer to be able to use the more standard 'Ctrl+K' for inserting hyperlinks (which I do a lot of).
