I've been looking for a very speedy word processor for some time now and just stumbled across Atlantis. First impressions is it's blazingly quick even with a large document I'm working on.
After playing with it for a little while I found the 'Clippy Bank'. I almost instantly registered as there's an option I've wanted in a word processor for many years. It turned out that 'Clippy Bank' is close but not quite what I want. So, below is what I'd like so maybe you could include the functionality in the future?
I used a piece of animation software many years ago that included a hotkey that flipped to a 'spare' page where I could experiment and copy/paste bits and pieces. Essentially it amounted to a piece of scrap paper to use with that project (it was saved/loaded as part of the file). I've always wanted the same thing in a Word Processor.
The 'Clippy Bank' function in Atlantis is similar but is missing one vital element for me. It's not automatically associated with the document. This means I have to go to the trouble of saving and loading it separately when I load Atlantis and my document. What I want is to either have a permanent 'Clippy Bank' page that is always opened/saved when I use Atlantis or have a separate 'Clippy Bank' that is opened and saved with each document (perhaps by saving the clippy doc to the same directory as the document with the same name but a '.clip' file extension or something.
Oh, and the term 'Clippy Bank' is a terrible name - how about changing it to 'Scrap Paper' or 'Notebook' or something?
Thanks.
Clippy Bank enhancement
The Clippy Bank is a global feature, and it could not be associated with any particular document. If you need document-specific "clips", you could store them as a separate draft section at the end of your document.
Saving the contents of the Clippy Bank to a file automatically on Atlantis close and reloading it at startup might be useful in some cases. Possibly this feature will be implemented in Atlantis.

This is what I do in Word at present and it's not a very satisfactory method hence my request.admin wrote:If you need document-specific "clips", you could store them as a separate draft section at the end of your document.
That's good news, thanks.admin wrote: Saving the contents of the Clippy Bank to a file automatically on Atlantis close and reloading it at startup might be useful in some cases. Possibly this feature will be implemented in Atlantis.
