New view suggestion: Several docs in one window

Although Atlantis is very good at dealing with large documents, I'm beginning to wonder if it would be best to separate large docs into smaller files. However, I'd still like the convenience of effectively working on one big doc so the following idea popped into my head:

How about being able to display multiple documents not only in separate windows, ('side by side' and 'Tile Horizontally' views) but also all within one window as if they were one long 'Pseudo' document? For example, I open 3 separate docs called 'Chapter1', 'Chapter2' and 'Chapter3' and they appear in one window , one after the other. As I scroll the window, the pages all move as if in one doc. So, the last page from the 'Chapter1' doc would be followed by the first page of the 'Chapter2' doc etc.

Some other thoughts:
- A way would have to be created to decide the order the docs were displayed but I don't see that being a big problem.
- If the user saved, then all changed docs would be saved (for convenience).
- A way would be needed to load a previously selected group of docs rather than have to manually (and laboriously) load and order them each time.
- Thought would have to be given to navigating around this Pseudo document e.g. what if two docs have bookmarks with identical names? Also, how would you go to a specific page number in one of the docs?

Sorry, but this would not be possible. The only way to have such a "pseudo document" is merging all your chapters into one file. The Control Board of Atlantis has the Headings and Sections panels. They can make navigating through such structured documents more convenient. Of course, if you format the chapter headings with the corresponding styles, or convert each chapter into a separate section.

Future versions of Atlantis might include support for "document projects". A document project would be a file containing links to multiple document files. You could load/unload all the linked document files in a few mouse clicks.
