Hi Admin, Robert.
A short while ago I posted a message about tables. But I have since found that I can do exactly what I want with the column feature in Atlantis. I need three columns. Left column 1” for Subject, Right column 1” for Action person’s initials and balance of page width for Discussions/Duty Allocations. The columns function gives me just what I want. Atlantis wins again. 10/10. What an incredible program.
Tabels / Columns
To Table or not to?
Tabbed Columns...
Hmm that's an interesting way to have "tables sort of without having a discrete table function"...
As mentioned in another Forum Topic....:
Although it can be pretty hard to implement as a programming, the only "thing" really missing from Atlantis is Tables -- it's NOT easy to program tables.
Yes, of course, Tables in Atlantis would also remove one of the last "barriers" to bringing MS Word and WordPerfect users into the Atlantis fold, as otherwise, Atlantis honestly and frankly superbly does 95% of what they do, and it's done better overall.
Now, we do know that NotePro 3.7 does include Tables, but when you compare one-one-one, Atlantis has a few more options that when you get to know them, Atlantis begins to excel even over NotePro.
100% Good To Know:
As seen here in the Forum, Tables in Atlantis "sort of" can be mimicked or gimmicked a bit, but nothing replaces Tables, really.
And it's no secret that Atlantis makes a darn good replacement totally for the terribly anemic WordPad, and that Atlantis loads just about as fast as WordPad does on most machines, etc.
Ahh, the world of give and take...
