I created a Quick Table with the following default cell margins:
Top / Left / Right: 0,12 cm
Bottom: 0 cm
The effect is that when shading cells, the chosen shading color does not cover these (small) margins. The margins remain white:
This does not look nice and it would be fine if this behaviour could be changed. (In MS Word the "full" cell [with identical margins] is covered when using a shading color.)
Thanks in advance.
Cell margins in tables and shading
Re: Cell margins in tables and shading
Instead of using “paragraph shading” (“Format | Paragraph… > More > Borders & Shading…”), you should apply “cell shading” (right-click the table, then “Table Properties… > Shading”).
Re: Cell margins in tables and shading
Indeed. In this way it works as expected.
Many thanks.
