I often use page breaks or column breaks and I can only access them through 3 steps: Insert/ Special Symbol. I couldn't find how to get this on to one of my customised toolbars.
As it is now, 3 steps is undesirable when frequent, and also Special Symbols doesnt intuitively suggest breaks so I have to stop to think each time what to select on the Insert menu.
Dont know why my poor brain cant accept that I'm inserting a symbol - I know it on reflection but not if I'm well into writing - as I said it isn't intuitive.
About to take the plunge and pay you.

[Ctrl + Enter] will insert a page break.
Also, admin explained a while back that using Page break before paragraph is a better way of creating a page break. This command has it's own button (on the alternative extended toolbar). You could move it to another toolbar using customize.
Re: Page - Column Breaks
Hi Shan!
The next minor version of Atlantis is soon to be out. As a matter of fact, it is already available for betatesting from http://www.rssol.com/en/html/atl10_beta/main.htm
With this new version, you will be able to change or remove already assigned hot keys, or create new hot keys. You might want to create a personal keyboard shortcut for the Insert Column Break command.
With the current version, you can already use Ctrl+Enter to create Page Breaks. Alternatively, as BuffyBot explained, you can use the Page break before paragraph toolbar button.
For Column Breaks, you can also already use the down arrow button attached to the Insert Symbol button. You will only need 2 clicks to launch the Column Break command.
Cheers,
Robert

Atlantis is a great program: it's well worth the registration cost. You won't be sorry.Shanforest wrote: About to take the plunge and pay you.

Re: Page - Column Breaks
Robert, thanks for the heads-up on the new beta - great to see customisable hot keys added! With each new release I am not only happy that I bought Ocean Mind within 48 hours of its first going on sale, but very proud to have done so. Keep up the excellent work!Robert wrote: Hi Shan!
