Use this dialog to insert page numbers to the document.
First, choose where you want to insert page numbers. Page numbers can be inserted either in the headers of the active document, or in its footers. In this way, page numbers will appear on each page of your document.
Use the Position box to specify where the page numbers should be inserted.
If you do not want the page number to appear on the first page of a document, simply uncheck the Show number on first page box.
Page numbers can be inserted with 5 different alignments. Left, Center, and Right are relative to the left and right margins. Inside and Outside are relative to the inside and outside edges of bound pages.
Every document section has its default page numbering options. These options control the appearance of page numbers in every section (number format - Arabic, Roman, Letters; initial page number for the first page of each section). To adjust these default page numbering options for the current section or for selected sections, click the Format button.
The number format (Arabic, Roman, Letters) from these default page numbering options controls the appearance of all the "Current Page Number" fields of a section when these are inserted without any explicit number format. The Insert | Field... dialog allows to insert the "Current Page Number" field either with an explicitly specified number format (Arabic, Roman, Letters), or with the "Use Default Numbering" option. If a "Current Page Number" field is inserted with an explicitly specified number format, the default page numbering options will not affect the appearance of this field. If the "Use Default Numbering" option is specified for a "Current Page Number" field, Atlantis will use the number format of the default page numbering options of the corresponding document section to display this field.
The "Insert | Page Numbers..." command always inserts page numbers which use the default page numbering options. These options can be modified through the "Insert | Page Numbers... > Format..." dialog.
