Messaging applications often allow users to export their address books as CSV (Comma Separated Values) files. Atlantis can now import addresses from such CSV files. Let’s take the address books of MS Outlook Express as an example. They can easily be exported and saved as CSV files to your hard disk. When this is done, you can easily import them into Atlantis. Here is how to proceed:
Bring up the "Tools | Address Books" dialog in Atlantis:
Highlight the Atlantis target book in the list and click "Edit":
In the “Edit Address Book” dialog, click “Import Addresses” and choose "From a CSV file" in the drop-down menu:
Browse for the exported CSV file and click "Open":
The fields included in your CSV file are displayed in a new Atlantis dialog:
Check the boxes for the items that you want to import. The framed components in the right box can be reordered in any way you like using Drag & Drop:
Atlantis will store, display and print addresses according to the layout found in the above right box. When you OK out of this dialog, all addresses found in your CSV file are automatically imported and added to the current Atlantis Address Book:
