The "Minimize to System Tray" button on the Atlantis title bar has a new better design. It now displays as a native Windows element according to your Windows version or your current Windows XP Theme:
The "Backup Files" feature ("Tools | Options" > "Load / Save" tab) now works in a much simpler way. You only need to enable the "Backup Files" feature. Atlantis takes care of the rest. You do not need to save your documents first any more. Also backups are no longer linked to the "Safe copies". These two features now work independently of each other.
The "Optional Messages" of Atlantis have also been improved. They have a more intuitive, self-explanatory design and safer behavior. When you check the "Do not ask again" box in any of the Atlantis optional message dialogs

comprehensive information is now displayed so that you can disable the optional message with full appreciation of the consequences:

In the previous version of Atlantis, if you clicked the Cancel button, or pressed Esc or Alt+F4, or clicked the cross button in such a dialog, your action was systematically recorded as a custom setting. This does not happen anymore in the new version of Atlantis. If you have changed your mind and want to close an optional dialog without recording any new option, you can now cancel the dialog and no new option is recorded even if the "Do not ask again" box is checked. If you cancel such an optional dialog in the new Atlantis version, the same dialog will be shown again when appropriate, even if "Do not ask again" was checked when you closed it before.
- The "Tools | Hot Keys" dialog has been redesigned. Multiple hot keys are now supported for the same command:

- Document navigation is now more convenient. You have new "Back"/"Forward" commands to move back and forth among the hyperlinked fragments of your documents. For example, when you click a hyperlink and you are brought to another location in the document (associated bookmark), two new commands are displayed on the Atlantis toolbars:

You can click the “Back” button to go back where you came from. Or you can click the "Forward" button to return where you previously went to.
