  • Multiple fragments of document can easily be replaced with the same text or graphic pasted from the Windows clipboard.

    Here are the steps:

    1. Copy the replacement text or graphic to the Windows clipboard.

    2. Select the fragments of target document that you want to replace. Note that the target fragments have to be selected as a multiple selection (click link for details).

    3. Paste the clipboard contents as usual (Ctrl+V or toolbar button).

    4. Atlantis will ask for confirmation:



    5. Check "Do not ask again" if you do not want to be asked for confirmation in the future and if you want your answer to be set as default.


  • Atlantis has better support for fragments copied and pasted from Web pages.

    When Web page fragments are copied to the Windows clipboard and they do not include actual pictures but only their Web address, Atlantis will try to retrieve these pictures from the Web or from your local Internet cache. As these fragments of Web pages are processed and pasted, download progress is shown in the Atlantis status bar:




  • URLs associated with hyperlinks can now be edited directly in the document window.

    As you know, Web URLs can be displayed with a substitute text:



    In this case, the associated URL can be shown by holding the mouse pointer over the hyperlink in the document window:



    But if you leave the "Text to display" box blank in this same dialog:



    the Web URL associated with the hyperlink is displayed as such in the document:

    With the next version of Atlantis, you will be able to edit these hyperlinked Web URLs directly in the document window. Atlantis will automatically update the hyperlink. You will not need to bring up the "Insert | Hyperlink..." dialog any more. For instance, you could select "WordProcessor" in the above sample URL and delete it. Atlantis would automatically adjust the document hyperlink so that it links with the new URL, i.e. "http://www.Atlantis.com":




  • The right-click menu of hyperlinks now includes a "Convert to URL" command.

    When a hyperlink displays a text substitute:



    and you’d rather have the URL displaying instead, all you have to do is right-click the hyperlink, slide the mouse pointer down, and click "Convert to URL":



    As a result, the hyperlink will display its associated URL directly in the document:


  • The Atlantis AutoCorrect is now working much faster and will automatically recognize a much wider range of typical spelling mistakes.


  • The current paragraph or selection of paragraphs is automatically moved up or down the document using 2 new hot keys:

    • Alt+Shift+Up arrow
    • Alt+Shift+Down arrow


  • Atlantis has a new proprietary spellcheck engine.

    This new spellcheck engine now works much faster in conjunction with greatly improved English lexicons. Support for British and American dialects, hyphenated compounds, abbreviations, and collocations is much better now. The new spellchecker will also work in close cooperation with AutoCorrect and Power Type (click link for details). The spellchecker will use the learning abilities of the Atlantis Power Type to offer smarter suggestions as both get to know your typing habits better.

    Spellchecking has been so improved that even long documents are now spellchecked in the blink of an eye. A new “Show next misspelling” command allows you to skip from one possible misspelling to the next with greater ease.
