Latest Atlantis News. The Atlantis Control Board (Part 4).

The Styles panel displays with a click on the "A" button on the Control Board top toolbar:

With the Atlantis Control Board, you don’t need to bring up the "Format | Style..." dialog any more. The document styles are organized directly from the Styles panel with much greater ease.

At the top of the Styles panel, two radio buttons allow you to display the document styles as a list or a hierarchical tree.

As you navigate through the document window with the keyboard or mouse, the current paragraph style is automatically highlighted in the Styles box. Double-clicking a style name in the Styles box automatically applies the style to the current document paragraph.

When Popup descriptions is checked at the bottom of the Styles panel, holding the mouse pointer over a style name displays the style properties as a screen tip:

At the bottom of the Styles panel is a toolbar with a number of command buttons. You can:

  • Create new styles.
  • Edit the properties of the style highlighted in the panel above.
  • Delete a style.
  • Update the properties of the highlighted style to match the document selection or current paragraph.
  • Import styles from other documents or templates.
  • Select all the document paragraphs associated with the highlighted style. These paragraphs are automatically selected as a multiple selection. When all the associated paragraphs are selected in such a way, you can:

    • Apply a different style to all of them.
    • Copy or cut them all to the Windows clipboard or to the Atlantis Clippy Bank.
    • Delete them.
    • Reformat them in any suitable way.
