Latest Atlantis News. Atlantis Word Processor 1.6.1.9.

Atlantis Word Processor 1.6.1.9 is a maintenance release with minor changes and fixes, plus a new Copy as HTML command. Please read on for details.

As you know, you can create new email messages from Atlantis, and attach documents to them using the Atlantis File | Email menu.

Now at times you might want to email the contents of a document not as attachment, but as a direct email message. In this case, you normally select the document in Atlantis with Ctrl+A, place the selection onto the Windows clipboard with Ctrl+C, create a new email message in your email client, and paste the clipboard contents with Ctrl+V. But there is one small snag here - most email clients (like MS Outlook Express, or Mozilla Thunderbird) either do not support the RTF clipboard data created by Atlantis, or cannot paste it correctly. For example, the original pictures often do not get pasted at all.

This is when the new Edit | Copy as HTML command of Atlantis will come in handy. This command places the document selection onto the Windows clipboard in the HTML format expected by most email clients. So here is how to proceed whenever you want to copy some text from Atlantis and paste it into a new email message:

  1. In Atlantis, select a fragment or the whole of the document that you want to email.

  2. Choose the Edit | Copy as HTML command.

  3. Launch your email client, and create a new message:

  4. Fill in the "To" and "Subject" fields:

  5. Click in the box meant for the body of your message:

  6. Press Ctrl+V to paste the clipboard contents.

  7. Attach files to your message if needed, and click the Send button.

Note that pasting HTML contents to a new message is possible only when your email client supports pasting HTML.
