PhotoScape
I haven't had problems with PhotoScape in Windows10, although I actually don't use it a whole lot. But there are certain things it does wonderfully well. I especially like the bloom and backlight options, and the bright/color interface works on some projects. Hope you found some other software that ...

I can now open Atlantis using my start menu, but it seems that the way I had things organized -- taskbars, control board, etc. -- are all gone. (But I'm glad to have the program back!) I did get the questionable file to reopen, and about 100 pages of the file are missing (and the footnotes/endnotes ...

Help - strange Atlantis crash
I have used Atlantis for at least 6 years, and it hardly ever crashes. But I've got a problem that I can't figure out how to fix: Yesterday, I pasted the contents of an old Word doc that someone had sent me into a long document (.rtf) that I was working on. I saved the file and shut down Atlantis ...

Follow up
I forgot to say that the book may be 6 x 9, rather than 5 1/2 x 8 1/2. I don't see that as a default setting for a page size in Atlantis, though. Does anyone have any experience with whether creating a custom size page causes any trouble in making PDFs, etc.?

CreateSpace books - Amazon
Has anybody attempted to use Atlantis to produce a book for Amazon to be printed through CreateSpace? If so, what worked well, and what pitfalls needed to be avoided? I know that CreateSpace needs a PDF, and I'd probably use either CutePDF or NitroPDF to create it from the Atlantis document (I'm ...

Thanks!
 I realized what was wrong when I went to try to import the styles on an older computer and it let me pick from any other document that I had open. Thanks for being so patient about answering silly questions! Speaking of silly things -- I noticed that my computer has under "Games" two blocks ...

Importing Styles from other Document
I think in the past I've imported from one document that I had set up to a new document different kinds of styles in Atlantis, but tonight when I went to import, I'm only seeing the templates that Atlantis comes with. Is there any way I can import from one file to another? Am I missing something ...

I've been having problems with getting Atlantis to update -- I tell it to find updates (or it does the automatic monthly check) and I instruct it to update, Atlantis shuts down, I make sure that I leave the computer on for what seems like a reasonable time so it can download the new version, but ...

Page numbers are moving up and down when printing booklet
We got a duplex printer and (to save paper) we're printing Atlantis documents in booklet form (2 pages on each side of a sheet of paper, so 4 pages total on each sheet). We noticed that when you hold up the page to the light, the page numbers aren't sitting at the same place front and back. Is there ...

Small Capitals
I have a file that a family member originally created in WordPerfect that had Small Caps (I think that's what they're called -- all the letters are capitals, but some are shorter than others). I saved the file in WP as a .rtf and then opened it in Atlantis. The small caps survived the move, but I ...

Saving as .doc works for Kindle, too
I have produced a few more Kindle eBooks by going the Atlantis to epub to Calibre to mobi route, but we were also able to take an Atlantis .rtf file and save it as a .doc and upload it to Kindle. In the preview on Kindle, there were minor differences in how the formatting turned out, but both were ...

I need to print it so that in a 40 page booklet (with the first couple of pages unpaginated), pages 2 and 33 are side by side, and 3 and 32, etc. -- 17 and 18 are in the centerfold when the pages are stapled together. Actually, I hadn't noticed the booklet printing function -- that looks like it ...

Imposing pages for printing a collated book
I may have asked this before, but has anyone experimented with other programs that will take the output from Atlantis and impose the pages properly so that I can print the book ready for collating? Or is there some way I can do that within Atlantis?

Italics/Not italics trading places in endnotes
Ever so often, I have an endnote that was correctly formatted switch on me -- the title of the book will be in non-italic, and the endnote number, author's name, publisher, etc. will be in italic. I haven't figured quite what has triggered this happening on my computer, but today my Dad told me that ...

The second TOC in the file -- actually the TOI (illustrations), I guess -- was that done with hyperlinks, or was that done by a chapter break that prevented the first TOC listing what went in the second TOC, or by putting a second table of contents in and somehow that didn't conflict with the first ...

Table of Contents & Headings
Is it possible to have two Headings that are equal, but formatted differently? In other words, under Heading 1 -- which I will use for chapter or part titles -- I want to have two types of subheads. One will be for recipe titles and the other for text/narrative titles. The recipe titles need to be ...

Hey, it worked!
I took a book that was done in Atlantis, saved it as an .epub, then converted it using Calibre to a .mobi file and submitted it to Kindle (I didn't realize that Kindle took that file type until I did further looking around). They accepted the file, and now the book is available on Kindle! I'm still ...
