Re: Autocorrect entries lost (again)
Thanks for the INI file. It triggers the problem on my system immediately. It is not about running multiple instances of Atlantis in quick succession. The steps/conditions are: launch Atlantis with your AutoCorrect settings, do not access the AutoCorrect tool, and close Atlantis. Version 4.4.1.2 ...

Re: Autocorrect entries lost (again)
I cannot reproduce this on my system. Can you email your Atlantis.ini file containing your "complete" AutoCorrect settings to support@atlantiswordprocessor.com? Done/sent. I'm currently using Atlantis 4.3.5.3 on my primary computer, and that's the Atlantis.ini file I sent. I have Atlantis 4.4.1.1 ...

Re: Autocorrect entries lost (again)
Atlantis continues to lose my changes to "Replace text" and "Smart space management" on a seemingly random basis. (I make only a dozen or so changes.) I can sometimes go several days without a problem, but other times the problem will crop up multiple times per day. The same problem exists on two ...

Re: Autocorrect entries lost (again)
I suppose your copy of Atlantis is not portable. Do you run multiple copies of Atlantis concurrently? Atlantis stores its AutoCorrect settings in the INI file. Do you manually modify or replace the Atlantis.ini file? You can always open the Atlantis.ini file with a plain text editor, and examine ...

Re: Autocorrect entries lost (again)
There are no AutoCorrect-related changes in 4.4.x releases. Atlantis stores its settings in a file (Atlantis.ini). What do you mean by “reloading my customized settings from file”? What is that file? If it is an INI file, how old is it? The AutoCorrect Options dialog has a Save To File... option tha ...

Re: Autocorrect entries lost (again)
Some, but not all, Atlantis updates reset my AutoCorrect Options (including Smart space management and Replace text ) to default. When going from 4.4.0.2 to 4.4.0.3 this did not happen, but when going from 4.4.0.3 to 4.4.0.4 this did happen. This has been happening off and on for many updates over ...

Re: Atlantis Word Processor 4.3.2 (beta)
I’ve been trying out Atlantis’s new DirectWrite text rendering options over the week or so using two different laptops (with different screen pixel densities) and a variety of my favorite screen fonts … Character Spacing: DirectWrite does a better job with character spacing than GDI does, most notic ...

Re: Atlantis Word Processor 4.3.2 (beta)
I can confirm that ligatures are suppressed in beta a8. Thanks for the quick response.

Re: Atlantis Word Processor 4.3.2 (beta)
Atlantis Word Processor 4.3.2.0 beta a7 I’ve been experimenting with DirectWrite in beta a7 and find that it employs ligatures with some font families but not with others that have available ligatures, and when it does employ ligatures, the spacing immediately after them is often far too great. The w ...

Toolbars "Background colors" option
Atlantis 3.2.13.0 portable installation on USB thumb drive Windows XP (SP3) The “Background colors” option of “Customize Toolbars” works as advertised when one of the new dark colors is selected, but nothing happens when one of the light colors is selected—that is, the toolbar background remains whit ...

[quote="Robert"]“Hide pointer while typing” is available in all versions of Windows (Control Panel Mouse Applet). But this option deals with the mouse cursor or mouse pointer. It has nothing to do with the text selection cursor (aka “I-beam” or “I-bar” cursor), which cannot be hidden (while typing). ...

The generic Windows XP Mouse Properties dialog box (Control Panel > Mouse > Pointer options) has an option to "Hide pointer while typing" that I've been using for years. It works with all other text/word processors on my computer and had been working on Atlantis until two days ago. It seems unlikely ...

Mouse pointer/cursor "I" bar doesn't disappear whe
Atlantis 2.0.5.0 Windows XP (SP3) The mouse pointer/cursor "I" bar no longer disappears when I start typing; it remains visible wherever the mouse last placed it. It's supposed to disappear while typing and only reappear when the mouse is moved. Are there any settings/options that may be causing ...

Spellcheck As-You-Type command/button/hot key
I’d like to have an available toolbar button and corresponding hot key to turn on and off the Spellcheck As-You-Type feature; using the pop-up menu that appears when right-clicking on the little dictionary icon on the Status Bar is a bit tedious, especially when using Full Screen with Status Bar h ...

The Ignore all-caps words option is the likely culprit, as none of the other sub-options have any negative effect ...
