It is still worth the $35 (at this time). You can use SIGIL to edit the EPUB in order to add tables exported to HtML from other applications. It is not ideal, and creates a hassle that I would not rather deal with, but it works. The thing I still find best about Atlantis relative to either Microsoft ...

Funny you should ask. Just before Robert and Admin had given me their answers I had tried using that as well. I always saw that choice when I used the right mouse button, but it sounded so weird that I never tried it before. Instead I would do the "paste special" from the top line menu and select ...

Horizontal Line or Paragraph Borders
In many non-fiction or technical books, there are sidebars (text offsets). My preferred way of handling these is to insert a pair of red horizontal dotted line at the start of the sidebar and another pair at the end. The way I accomplish this now is by editing the EPUB in Sigil and inserting empty ...

How to clear text formatting in Atlantis?
Is there a button that I can add to the tool bar that would allow me to take a selection of text, highlight, and remove the formatting? Right now I sometimes have to copy the text and then paste it as text followed by the reapplication of a style. In Microsoft Word they have a "clear formatting ...

Images in Epubs: How is Width Height property determined?
I was wondering how width and height properties for images are determined when a document is saved to EPUB? I was thinking I should be able to be able to create an image of a certain size within photoshop, assign it a 100% property within Atlantis, and not have a resizing of the image upon saving it ...

Images from Microsoft Word 2010 document won't appear.
I created a document in Microsoft Word 2010. I do this from time to time because I can import an html document into Microsoft Word which I can't do with Atlantis. The document I created has NO tables in it but lots of jpg images. When I try to open this document in Atlantis, only the text appears. I ...

find and replace question
I have some sentences that contain some undesired paragraph end markers mid-sentence throughout the document. I am able to do a Find of ^$^p to locate the problem spots but I would like to do a Replace that keeps the letter but strips out the paragraph end marker. I thought doing a replace with ...

Picture titles/Captions in EPUBs
When I save to EPUB I know that larger images get saved to a separate html file. I understand the reasoning for this. However, what I want to know is there a way to force that EPUB to be created in such a way that the line of text below the image (the caption) is included in the same html file as ...

Indentation of Paragraphs after Headings
I have two different ebooks I am working on. For what it is worth, they both started from an ABBYY FineReader export. Both documents are more or less styled similarly since I have imported in the ebook headings and normal styles and start editing the document. I like the fact that paragraphs after ...

Okay
Okay I see that using the control board I can easily select all the styles that have been signed my heading style and then use the drop down box on the toolbar to select "headings" in order to capitalize the first letter of each word in the heading. So I am satisfied with this approach and you can ...

Heading "effect" desired for heading Style.
Hi, On the tool bar there is a drop down box where I can select "Heading" which will capitalize the first letter of each word that is included in my text selection. I see I have the ability to assign a "Lower Case" and "Upper Case" EFFECT when creating a style. I see nothing for capitalizing first ...

How about a way to re-order the list of styles
Okay,
Then how about a way to drag and drop specific styles in the list to the top of the list so that when I select the drop down box, the ones I use most are right there at the top.

A way to select Multiple Styles and delete
I will scan a document in ABBYY FineReader, save it as word document and then open it in Atlantis. There are often many styles created during the OCR process over which I have no control. I wish to delete most of them. It would nice to be able to select multiple styles within the dialog box and ...
