Scrivener
http://www.literatureandlatte.com/scrivener.php This is another product aimed at facilitating the writing process. This one has a lot of overlap on the word processing side, so it isn't clear how well it would integrate with Atlantis, which is probably stronger overall on the WP front. Unless, of ...

What exactly do you mean by "applying semantics"? Trt loading an EPUB into Sigil. Then right click on a section in the left column where the components of your book are listed. The bottom item in the context menu will be 'Add Semantics.' This is a way of labeling things like covers, ToC, copyright ...

Using Atlantis with MobiPocket Creator
I was hoping Atlantis could solve a problem I was facing. The Save as EPUB feature is what first brought me to Atlantis. To make a Kindle file I can feed the EPUB (after finalizing in Sigil) into KindleGen to get a MOBI file. The problem with this is that file is ridiculously large compared to the ...

Sigil
To edit existing EPUB files the best option is the Sigil freeware app. It lets you see the rendered text and the HTML code in split screen, so you can tell what is really happening much better.

Beware of Calibre
If you use Calibre for a conversion be sure to thoroughly check the resulting file in Kindle Previewer or an actual Kindle. (Kindle app on PC/Mac is not a reliable test due to the difference is screen size and how it affects formatting. Also, the Kindle apps will allow certain formatting techniques ...

Five years and counting...
Really? Were you a geology major? Because it's been quite a while and this market could really use an alternative with Atlantis qualities but the feature set isn't what it needs to be to play in the big leagues.admin wrote:Atlantis will have tables in a not too distant future.

E-books are the biggest growth market for Atlantis!
I strongly agree. The entire reason I started using Atlantis in the first place was the Save as EPUB feature. Being able to go directly from Word to an EPUB that passes validation checks is worth the price of purchase all by itself if you're doing e-book work regularly. I have repeatedly recommended ...

This is make or break for so many.
I've registered here just to add my two cents. I'd never heard of Atlantis before today, or if I had it was long forgotten. Recently, creating EPUB files has become a very important interest of mine and in many cases it will be impossible to create a proper conversion without the control afforded by ...
