Re: Disabling capitalization after using Polish abbreviations
Do not disable "Capitalize first letter of sentences". Use the “Exceptions…” button to the right of that option, and enter the various abbreviations that end with a dot in Polish. Of course, do this for the AutoCorrect Options associated with the Polish language (Polish language shown in the Atlan ...

Re: Access violation at 0040207F in awp.exe
It’s a Windows command-line. DOS doesn’t exist any more. “C:\WINDOWS\System32\cmd.exe” is the text string displayed in the title bar of the Command Prompt window. But you could press the Windows icon in combination with R, then run “C:\WINDOWS\System32\cmd.exe” directly. The command-line echo %progra ...

Re: Access violation at 0040207F in awp.exe
OK. Here are instructions that will most likely work: 1. Press the Windows icon in combination with R. 2. Type CMD, then press Enter. You should get a new Command Prompt window (“C:\WINDOWS\System32\cmd.exe”). 3. Copy, paste, then run the following command-line: echo %programfiles(x86)% Windows will ...

Re: Access violation at 0040207F in awp.exe
Teresa, could you please do the following? 1. Right-click the Windows icon and choose Windows Terminal (Admin). 2. Click the down arrow icon and choose Command Prompt. 3. Copy, paste, then run the following command-line: echo %programfiles(x86)% Windows will tell you which folder it considers as the ...

Re: Strange display on deleting Section line near top of window
Actually it should have been “overlain” in one word, past participle of the verb “overlie”. It could also have been “overlaid”, past participle of the verb “overlay”. As for the difference between “overlie” and “overlay”, it seems that “overlie” connotes passivity while “overlay” connotes voluntary e ...

Re: Autocorrect entries lost (again)
I don’t know if you’ll manage to restore your AutoCorrect entries. But here is something you could do in the future to make sure your AutoCorrect entries are never lost. I have been using this method for years myself. It involves saving your Atlantis settings manually to a custom INI file and sys ...

Re: allcaps
In all word processing software, and therefore in Atlantis, the basic formatting of characters concerns their appearance when typed, i.e. the initial intention of the document's author. This intention is expressed firstly by the choice of a given font (Arial, Times New Roman, etc.), then by the ...

Re: allcaps
Hi Frank, When the Caps Lock key is pressed, the letters are automatically typed in UPPERCASE. If you release the Caps Lock key, the letters are no longer automatically typed in UPPERCASE. Typing actually returns to LOWERCASE. On the other hand, ALL CAPS is a property of the Font Format associated ...

Windows 10 Home 64-bit. Atlantis 4.3.4.1 beta a0 under factory settings. Here is how “X-bar_Issue.docx” is displaying on my system: https://www.atlantiswordprocessor.com/en/forum/files/x_overbar.png As you can see, the overbar is displaying directly over the 'x'. Re: How can I find the character code for a letter?
Hi Roland, If I type the “x” letter first, follow through with the code for the combining macron (0304), and press Alt+X, I get a proper x bar symbol in latest 4.3.4 Atlantis release under factory settings. See attached “X Bar Symbol.docx” whose x bar glyphs survived closing and reopening of that doc ...
