I feel like it's good to remind the developers that we would all like tables. On the other hand, the point of a feature request is that it tells them what features we want, and they know about the table hopes since my first post over half a decade ago. I wasn't the first and I won't be the last to ...

Version Control
Lately I've been having to do a lot of document editing that uses the "Track changes" version control features of Microsoft Word documents. I would like it, very much, if Atlantis could also interact with that feature of Word documents.

I appreciate the quick response. I'll consider purchasing TextMaker, but it isn't a perfect fit. Atlantis with tables would be, so I'll try to wait as long as possible. An exact date isn't what I was looking for, but some encouragement that "It will probably be out before the new year" would be a ...

Time until update.
It has been a while since it was said that we Atlantis fans might recieve table support before the end of 2006, so I'm asking for any new information on whether or not we should still hope for table support by 2006's conclusion. I like Atlantis a lot more than TextMaker, but TextMaker is looking ...

X bar / Not X
I use Atlantis for almost everything, but when it comes to writing boolean algebra I am stuck using something else because I can't write letters with overscores. In MS Word there are many ways to make an X with a horizontal line one pixil above it, which can been seen at the following link. http ...

Atlantis doesn't seem to be supporting OLE correctly.
I've been recieving homework from my college professors and they are in .RTF and .DOC format and contain OLE embedded objects of various types. I have no problem opening them in Microsoft Wordpad or Word and so I was thinking Atlantis might be making a mistake or need work on OLE support. I notice ...

Wordweb integration or substitute.
I've been using wordweb for a long time and it integrates nicely with Atlantis and windows in general, but it's a standard to have a thesaurus feature in a word processor today, as observed by most other word processors. Wordweb gets the job done right now, but I think it would be good if the people ...

Needed features are needed features.
A thesaurus might be something we can impliment with third party programs, but it is the standard to have one in a word processor that doesn't need to be installed separately. Atlantis is nice and small and an addon downloadable thesaurus (like addon dictionaries) wouldn't make it any fatter. I'm ...

Microsoft Works Format (.WPS)
I switched my cousin's household to Atlantis, but the main problem I've run into here is that they use Microsoft Works Word Processor, which is capable of reading MS Word documents and writing them, similar to Atlantis, but it saves documents as .WPS files, by default. Atlantis can not read these ...

Programmer Chat
In my last post I asked about job openings, and, regardless of the lack of job openings, I've always wanted to make a powerful word processor or some similar program. I'm amazed at how small Atlantis is, for what it is. That's why I'm curious about what technology it is coded in. I'm not asking for ...

Job at Atlantis
I was wondering what Atlantis is programmed in, and if there are any job openings. I'm looking for an internship for the summer and / or permenant work. My resume is in the post on horizontal lines.

Horizontal lines are gone?
A minor problem for me is the lack of headrules. In microsoft word I could type a series of continuous hyphens and they would be made into a horizontal line when pressed enter afterward. I had one of these in my resume and tried to open it in Atlantis, only to notice it had vanished. I have attached ...

Tables
I spent a whole day evaluating wordprocessors with two things in mind. I have 10mb of free space and need to edit Word documents. Naturally that lead me to Atlantis, CopyWriter, Jarte, and Abiword. Atlantis wins that battle. It's a lot smaller than Abiword and I see all of the necessary features ...
