Atlantis has lost the feature that saves the cursor's previous position. The files I was working with open when I open the application, but each one has taken the cursor back to the start of the file.
Can you tell me how to fix the problem?
Files Open with cursor returned to beginning of Documents
Sorry. I must be losing my mind. The first place I checked was the Save cursor position" option. I swear it was checked before I ever posted my problem. However, after I answered your post so definitely, I thought it might be a good idea to check again. This time I found it unchecked.
I put a check in the Save cursor position box, closed Atlantis, and opened it again. The cursor was back at the beginning of the document. When I opened options dialog, the Save cursor position was once again UNchecked.

The last caret position is saved by Atlantis in the documents that it saves itself if “Save cursor position” was checked on the "Load/Save" tab of the "Tools | Options..." dialog.
If you open such documents in other word processors than Atlantis, most likely they won’t retrieve the last caret position and will place the insertion point right at the top of the document.
If you open, edit, and resave such documents in other word processors, most likely the last caret position will not be saved and won’t be displayed when you reopen them in Atlantis.
The moral is to stick with Atlantis.

All's Well
First I am happy to say that my problem has been resolved. What troubles me still, is that I have no idea why Atlantis was acting up in the first place and it took no less than four tries to get the Save cursor position to stay checked.
In answer to Admin's question: No I don't run multiple instances of Atlantis.
In answer to Robert's questions: I use a launcher to open Atlantis. I've use it for almost as many years as I've used Atlantis. No one else touches my PC - ever.
It makes sense that opening an .rtf file in another word processor would move the cursor position to that application's last position - I don't use wordprocessors that don't retain the cursor's position - but I hadn't done that.
Anyway, all is well for now. Thanks for your help.
