The problem I have is that MSWord is intrusive and attempts to override my Atlantis default.
If I download an MSWord file it presents me with MSWord Viewer as default. (I have to have this horrible thing in order to read a small number of files from my professor.). If I accept this to open one file it takes over as default completely. I have to get deep into Win10 settings to correct it.
The download dialogue does show some alternatives: Wordpad. But not Atlantis.
There is a Browse button.
But when I use it I cannot locate Atlantis.
I have a folder called Atlantis with Atlantis.ini inside and subfolders like Backup, Clip Library etc There is no exe file.
In the level above that (My Documents) there is no Atlantis.exe
I have Hidden data enabled in Explorer and I can locate other exe files.
I am using the older Atlantis. I did pay for the upgrade because you asked me to, but I never installed it because I don't want to learn new systems and have things disturbed. I hate upgrade disturbance. Atlantis is already very comfortable and useful.
MSWord yuk
The problem seems to be that Win10 will not allow me to change the default for .docx as MSWord Viewer.
In settings or Control Panel I can access a list of file types.
.docx shows MSWord Viewer but clicking it does not allow any alternative.
I can open .docx from inside Atlantis. But I cannot download .docx as an Atlantis file.
Once I allow MSWord anything - it takes control.

The Atlantis Word Processor main executable is named “awp.exe”, not “Atlantis.exe”. It is located in either "C:\Program Files\Atlantis" in 64-bit systems, or "C:\Program Files (x86)\Atlantis" in 32-bit systems.
