The “Background colors” option of “Customize Toolbars” works as advertised when one of the new dark colors is selected, but nothing happens when one of the light colors is selected—that is, the toolbar background remains white no matter which of the light colors is selected. This is the case whether “Tool bands” or “Classic toolbars” is selected. I reverted to version 3.2.12.1, but “Background colors” doesn’t seem to have any effect on that version either.
I’ve just upgraded from version 2.0.6.0, so I don’t know whether the feature works on even earlier versions of 3.x.
The color previews in the "Background color" box of the "Customize Toolbars" dialog are not 100% WYSIWYG (this is by design). Actual colors are normally lighter than those previews. But the actual background colors are not white at all. Please try changing the monitor brightness and/or contrast (temporarily).
