£ sign missing

Post by Shan »

My small keyboard doesn't have a £ sign. I use copy paste but it's laborious.
Ihave n numberrs on the side so the workaround shown on most sites doesn't work for me.
Surely the £ sign is somewhere under Insert? I cannot find it.

If your keyboard has a Function key (“Fn”), you can press and hold down the "Fn" and "Alt" keys simultaneously, then type in "156" or "0163" (without the quotation marks).
Otherwise, you can copy/paste from the Atlantis Character Map. You could also assign a hot key to the British Pound sign in the Atlantis Character Map. And use that hot key subsequently.

yes thank you I want to paste from the Character Map but I cannot find the £ pound sign when I searched. I looked under Georgia and Times - I would prefer not to search every font to find it.

If the AutoCorrect feature of Atlantis is enabled, you can simply type "L=" (without quotes).
