please implement cross-referencing to headings plz, just like "see above (Chapter) 1.1.3, page 13". You need it for each and every scientific text and it is already implemented for footnotes or endnotes as fields.
So I hope it would be a small step for the developers but a big one for writers .
Atlantis does have the style reference field: http://www.atlantiswordprocessor.com/en ... ield_types
But it creates a reference to the nearest heading, not to the heading of your choice.
You could use the page reference field instead.
Thank you for responding. Unfortunately, the page reference is not substitute for fixing the reference of a heading which changes oftenly while writing a larger text with a lot of headings like I usually do.
I am just wondering why there is a possibility to reference footnotes but no headings.
As far as I know, there is no field type in MS Word documents that you could use to create a reference to a specific heading: List of field codes in Word
