Today I was trying to use the "Find" feature to find every occurrence of a word in my document, and then click to each appearance using the list of selected instances.
I had not done this before and I had to hunt quite a while to figure it out, and in retrospect I now see why.
The place to find the selection list is the icon that is third from the right on the Control Board icon toolbar.
To my eye, the icon looks exactly like the "centered align" icon in the normal formatting toolbar.
I guess on reflection I can see why the design was chosen, but that design doesn't seem to me to be a very clear indication of the purpose of that icon. I am no graphic designer so I have no suggestion for a better one, but something more distinctive would make this option easier to understand and to find. Even making one of the lines in the icon to be colored would give some indication that that this was a "selection" rather than a "centered formatting" icon.
This is a great feature that I probably should be using all the time - if I can remember it!
Thanks.

Find / Selections
Yeah, the thing about application icons is that a lot of them (no matter the program) are ambiguous. I think you just have to learn them. It is hard to get a lot of meaning into a small symbol like an icon.
I use the Styles and Format Palette icons so much that I immediately recognize them. I also use the Headings icon a lot, so I know that it is the first one on the left. For the others I have to pass the cursor over them and see what the "fly-out" text says.
I am glad that you posted your remark about the list of "found" items. I was not aware of the feature, and now I know about it! Thanks.
