Been over six months since the last release or update. Winter's almost past. Any word on what updates are coming and when?

The incoming version of Atlantis Ocean Mind will have many new features:

* The top-end print features (two-sided printing on any printer, support for duplex printers, printing booklets, 1..16 pages per sheet, scale to paper size, etc).

* The section-based page settings (every document section of the same document could have its own page settings: page size, margins etc), the mirror margins.

* Headers/footers.

* The complete support for fields.

* The support for the Windows XP Themes (the new version of Atlantis Ocean Mind will look like a native Windows XP application).

* New image formats will be supported (import: Kodak Photo-CD images (PCD); import/export – TIFF rev. of the following subformats: Packbits, CCITT G.3/G.4, LZW).

* New font attributes: Double Strikeout, All Caps, Small Caps, Shadow, Outline, Emboss, Engrave, Underline Color, Underline Styles (single, words only, double, dotted, thick, dash, dash-dot, dash-dot-dot, wave, thick dotted, thick dash, thick dash-dot, thick dash-dot-dot, heavy wave, long dash, double wave, thick long dash).

Etc.

WOW! What a list! I look forward to trying it out. It certainly sounds like it will have been worth the wait. :D :D

Well, one question of our friend is still open: when? But that question is hard to answer. To get all these features in a stable version it needs a lot work and a lot time.

But it is hard to wait for all these very, very cute features admin promised with his last posting. I would perhaps never have to work with Word again on my job. And I could, I could ... do dozens of things...

:D What a superb array of new features! This one is worth the wait no doubt! Toss in footnotes and I may never look at Word again. Best wishes for the new release. John

I trust the use of the term "incoming" is meaningful, as in "about to land?" The new features will certainly make Atlantis a viable alternative for MS Word. Looking forward to the release.

More than just a "viable alternative," with a little luck it may wipe MS Word off the face of the earth. Then I can dump Word 7 and not have any MS program on my computer other than Win98SE!
