Search Function

When I search for a word, the whole Control Board pops up. I've been unable to find a way to stop that happening. Surely there is a simple solution, but it has so far escaped me. I do not want to keep a search history but cannot find how to turn that off either. My version is 4.1.6.5. Help?

Click the “Settings” button of the Find/Replace panel of the Control Board, and uncheck the “Use Instead of ‘Find/Replace’ Dialog” item:

This option will be soon more accessible. You could toggle it through the "Tools | Options..." dialog.
