Atlantis Word Processor 4.3.6 is available for betatesting.
This version introduces a new thesaurus feature with support for more than 20 languages. To look up words, use the “Tools | Thesaurus...” command of the main menu, or press Shift+F7, or right-click in your document and choose the “Thesaurus...” command from the menu. This would open a new “Thesaurus” dialog:
To enable the thesaurus for your language in Atlantis, download and install the corresponding spellcheck, hyphenation & thesaurus add-on. Or just choose the “Tools | Thesaurus...” command of the main menu, and Atlantis would suggest to download and install the corresponding add-on automatically.
Please use the link below to download the setup file of the beta version of Atlantis, and use it to install the beta on your computer:

Re: Atlantis Word Processor 4.3.6 (beta)
Hi admin,
Since updating to beta a3 I have noticed that the Thesaurus (Wordweb) no longer pops up. I can place the insert point in a word or highlight the whole word and either right click and select Thesaurus or use shift+F7 with no window popping up with a definition for the word.

Re: Atlantis Word Processor 4.3.6 (beta)
The Thesaurus command of Atlantis in version 4.3.6 does not use WordWeb anymore.
Probably the following optional message (Tools | Options... > General > Optional Messages...) is disabled in your Atlantis:
The proofing module for language ### is unavailable or not completely installed. Would you like to download and install it now?
If it was enabled, Atlantis would suggest to install the new spellcheck module containing a thesaurus.
You can manually download & run the English spellcheck module from the Downloads page.

Thanks admin,
I have enabled the optional message and downloaded the 6 language files I use. The Thesaurus now works.

Re: Atlantis Word Processor 4.3.6 (beta)
I have my Atlantis installed in a custom folder (only 2 folders deep from C:\ and with custom folder name) and the language installer does not let me select it. It will only go one folder deep from C:\ and then indicates "The specified folder does not contain a properly installed Atlantis Word Processor." I can work around this by installing Atlantis to the default location and then capturing that, but I thought you should know. You can install this new version to the current home folder of Atlantis on your system, if any, or to a different folder. If you decide to revert to the previous version, you can download & run its setup file to downgrade.
Re: Atlantis Word Processor 4.3.6 (beta)
Can you tell the full path to that folder? Does it contain "awp.exe"?I have my Atlantis installed in a custom folder
Re: Atlantis Word Processor 4.3.6 (beta)
Yes, it is: C:\Apps\Atlantis.Word\awp.exeCan you tell the full path to that folder? Does it contain "awp.exe"?
I can see the \Apps folder but cannot navigate beyond that to any of the subfolders (It appears empty).
Re: Atlantis Word Processor 4.3.6 (beta)
I cannot reproduce this on my system (see attached screenshot). Maybe there are some access restrictions to this folder on your system. Anyway you can direct the spellcheck setup file to any folder on your disk containing awp.exe.

Re: Atlantis Word Processor 4.3.6 (beta)
Thanks for getting back to me. As it turns out, there was indeed an inherited permission issue to the folder due to using a custom installer (it creates shortcuts and other things for various apps I use). Strangely, running the spelling installers as admin did not overcome the issue (hence the folder couldn't be accessed by the spelling installers). But, in short, it doesn't appear to be an issue with the spelling installers per se, so please consider the issue I brought up as non-relevant. Thank you!
