Saving Documents

Post by barnowl »

I said in a earlier post that I was having trouble with the "Saving Document" function.

Is there anyway with the latest version to set a Default Folder for saving Documents to.

Yes I know there is the function at the bottom of the "Save Document" where you can select a different location but is there anyway of Setting a Default Folder so all documents are saved there and not in the folder that Atlantis selects.

If all your documents are stored under same folder, the “Save document” command (for new documents) and the “Save document as” command (for all documents) would always suggest to save to that same folder.

Do you mean that you need to open documents located in different folders, then “save them as” to same folder?

Yes that would be correct.

So, no matter where the document is, in what-ever folder, I want to be able to save to a single specific folder.

What about the “File | Save Special | Save Copy As...” command? It ignores the folder where the active document file is located, and always suggests to save to a folder where you last “saved as” to.

Version 4.3.9.2 has a new option that you might wish to uncheck:
