I voted "yes", but I'm with John - tables first, please.

I voted no, because I have found that WordWeb works great with Atlantis and I don't want to see Atlantis start to bloat and become unruly. I agree, tables are more important. You can check out WordWeb at www.wordweb.info. The free version works fine for me.
I voted "no" because I have the New Collegiate dictionary and thesaurus on my hard drive with a "quick launch" icon. It's a simple matter to double click a word, CTRL+C to copy, click the dictionary/thesaurus icon, and CTRL+V to paste. It's much faster than it sounds, and this way it's also useful with other programs than Atlantis. It's also handy if you're reading something online and run across an unfamiliar word.
Atlantis is the best word processor I've found, please keep it bloat-free!

I also find the free version of WordWeb works just fine with Atlantis and would rather see tables funtionallity added. Perhaps it would be more practical to add some customizable external tool buttons to the toolbars to allow easy access to some of these third party programs that work so well with Atlantis rather than bloat Atlantis itself. Wouldn't that be a more feasable solution that would add little in the way of bulk to Atlantis, yet add a great deal of functionalily?

If Atlantis wants to be a serious word processor with features for serious writers, it needs a drop down thesaurus, just like the one in later versions of WordPerfect. A drop down dictionary would also be great. I cannot imagine writing without a thesaurus and so this question seems to be a bit of a no brainer to me. Kind of like asking if a traveller should have a map.

voting yes!
ofcourse it should be included! Iuse a seperated prg right now, and as a beinning writer, I really need one!
Needed features are needed features.
A thesaurus might be something we can impliment with third party programs, but it is the standard to have one in a word processor that doesn't need to be installed separately. Atlantis is nice and small and an addon downloadable thesaurus (like addon dictionaries) wouldn't make it any fatter. I'm sure everyone would agree that tables are the priority so we can use Atlantis to read other peoples Word documents, as well as how useful tables are in general, but wanting one feature shouldn't mean saying no to another feature for sake of priority. I've switched my girlfriend over to Atlantis and we already had wordwed installed. She didn't think to use wordweb and started complaining that Atlantis doesn't have thesaurus, so the question is, does Atlantis want to give other word processors a run for their money? If the answer is yes then we don't have to down play the importance of standard word processor features in favor of other ones.
