Hi: not sure where you are in program development these days, but was wondering if the Address Book feature could be made more useful by including an import/export function with it.

I am not sure an "import from where"/"export to where" function you mean. If you mean exporting data from MS Outlook Express, this would be hardly possible. The address book of MS Outlook Express has a very different structure, and is intended for a different purpose (not for printing envelopes). The Atlantis address books are plain text files (their simple format is explained with details in the Atlantis Help - simply type "address books" in the "Search" pane of the Help window). Even after retrieving an address from another software, before adding it to Atlantis you need to reformat it in a multiline manner, like this:

Tracy T Johnson
202N 1620 W
West Point Utah 84015

In many cases, this has to be done manually.

Well, this this my point - as you say, in many cases this has to be manually. This is why an import function might be useful and add to the value of the Atlantis address book. I'm not thinking of importing Outlook Express data specifically, merely the ability to import a CSV file created by another address book program.

The next release of Atlantis Ocean Mind will allow to import addresses from CSV files:

An important point

Make sure ALL the e-mail addresses are imported. Many address book importers take only the default e-mail address and discard the rest.

Atlantis Address Books do not include email addresses because they are intended exclusively for printing envelopes (emails are not required for printing envelopes). They include postal addresses only. Consequently importing email addresses to Atlantis from CSVs does not make sense.
