Questions about the ebook template.

Post by seasong »

The ebook teplate is easy to use, and it uses Tahona fonts in the text.
Is there other fonts that I can use in the template that you recomend to try out? Or is Tahona your best sugestion?
The cover image also have some text. Can this be done in Atlantis, or is it done in for example photoshop?
Is there some place to look what other people has "created with the use of Atlantis only?

Best regards

Hi Seasong,
You can use any font that is available on your system. But be careful, the font you choose must be available on the e-readers your EPUB files will be displayed in. It is always safer to use the most commonly available fonts. However, you can also embed the required fonts in the EPUB files that you create. When you save a document to EPUB in Atlantis, the “Save As eBook” dialog includes an “Imbed Fonts” option. Check that option and your EPUB files will always display with the original font faces. Please have a look at the corresponding help topic for details (eBooks).

You can use any appropriate image as a cover for your EPUB documents. Simply replace the one found in the template by yours. If you want to add text to it, do it in any image processing software like Photoshop, if you have it. You could also use Paint.NET (http://www.getpaint.net/download.html#download) or PhotoScape (http://www.photoscape.org/ps/main/download.php). Both are free.

HTH.
Cheers,

Thanks again Robert.
I use photoshop for image prosessing, so it is no problem to have text on the pictures.
