Heading "effect" desired for heading Style.

Post by purcelljf »

Hi,
On the tool bar there is a drop down box where I can select "Heading" which will capitalize the first letter of each word that is included in my text selection.

I see I have the ability to assign a "Lower Case" and "Upper Case" EFFECT when creating a style. I see nothing for capitalizing first letter of each word.

I assume there is no way of assigning a "Heading" effect to my Style. If not, consider this an enhancement request.

Okay

Okay I see that using the control board I can easily select all the styles that have been signed my heading style and then use the drop down box on the toolbar to select "headings" in order to capitalize the first letter of each word in the heading.

So I am satisfied with this approach and you can disregard my question.

Sorry, but Atlantis could not have formatting effects incompatible with the MS Word document formats.

The "Format | Change Case" menu commands (or their corresponding toolbar buttons or drop-down menus) are not formatting effects. They modify the target text by replacing lowercase letters with their uppercase versions, or vice versa. The "All caps" and "Small caps" formatting effects offered through the "Format | Font..." dialog of Atlantis, do not change the target text. They only instruct Atlantis to render the corresponding letters differently. If you remove the case-related formatting effects from a text fragment, the original case pattern of text would be restored.
