We got a duplex printer and (to save paper) we're printing Atlantis documents in booklet form (2 pages on each side of a sheet of paper, so 4 pages total on each sheet). We noticed that when you hold up the page to the light, the page numbers aren't sitting at the same place front and back.
Is there an easy fix for this?
I should note that we usually create a PDF out of Atlantis by using CutePDF, then print the resulting PDF from Adobe Reader 9 point something another -- so it could be that Adobe is doing something funky with the pages. We have had a lot of trouble with Adobe wanting to shrink the pages, adding white space around the text blocks.
Page numbers are moving up and down when printing booklet
Please open your document in Atlantis, and choose the "File | Page Settings..." menu command. Is the "Headers and Footers > Different odd and even" box checked on the "Layout" tab of the window?
If possible, please email your document to support@AtlantisWordProcessor.com.

Thanks for the document file. Regrettably I cannot reproduce the problem.
Do you mean that the entire content of "faulty" pages is shifted vertically, or the page numbers only are shifted?
Toggling the "Mirror margins" option of the Page Settings should have no effect on the document display since the left and right page margins in your document are identical.
Did you try creating a new test document with page numbering, and print it as a booklet? If so, do you still get this problem on a test document?
By the way, your Atlantis version is probably outdated. According to your document file, your Atlantis version is 1.6.5.0. The latest version of Atlantis is 1.6.5.3. Please choose the "Help | Check for Updates..." menu command of your Atlantis, and upgrade.

I've been having problems with getting Atlantis to update -- I tell it to find updates (or it does the automatic monthly check) and I instruct it to update, Atlantis shuts down, I make sure that I leave the computer on for what seems like a reasonable time so it can download the new version, but then next time I open Atlantis, it's still the same version. I'm not sure if the Avira Antivirus on my computer is blocking the update or what.
I did finally just go to the download page, selected the new version, and installed it. Hopefully that will work.
I figured out that the shifting side to side was evidently caused by having the footer style based on the normal style (normal had a first line indent, which was overriding or confusing the centering that I wanted the page number to have). But, it does seem that the shifting top to bottom is for the whole page -- and I haven't solved that problem yet.

Most probably the update is blocked by your antivirus software. Please download the latest setup file of Atlantis from the Downloads site page, run it, and follow the onscreen instructions. This will update your copy of Atlantis.
