Picture titles/Captions in EPUBs

Post by purcelljf »

When I save to EPUB I know that larger images get saved to a separate html file. I understand the reasoning for this. However, what I want to know is there a way to force that EPUB to be created in such a way that the line of text below the image (the caption) is included in the same html file as the image?

This becomes an issue when viewing the EPUB in online viewers such as IBIS Reader where the Image stands alone and I have to hit next page to see the caption.

Thanks.

Just put a picture and its caption in a same paragraph. Click right after a picture, and press Del to merge the "image paragraph" and the "caption paragraph". Then press Shift+Enter to create a line break. If you want to add a gap between the picture and the caption, press Shift+Enter one more time.
