Hi Robert,
I did exactly the same us you did, but it still is not changing to HU from English. At the Tools/Spellcheck the heading shows English.
Somewhere I am not getting the link to HU and therefore it keeps the English dictionary-spellchecker.
I have no idea why, I did it twice. (Installed, did not work, deleted all traces of Atlanis including Users/Documents and other directories, resarted loaded again, same result.

I use Win7 64 bit.

I see my problem. I never used the Hungarian keyboard, I use the English-International and use the special characters that way.

I use Thunderbird usually writing in English but occasionally in Hungarian using the same keyboard (English-International),just by changing the Spellchecker using OPTION/COMPOSITION/SPELLING from English to Hungarian and back again without changing the keyboard.

That would be an ideal solution.

Thanks for the reply.

As Admin tried to explain, Atlantis has an "Associate all new text with the following language” option in the “Format | Default Language…” dialog. If you check this option, then choose the Hungarian language and OK out of the dialog, any text that you type or paste will automatically be marked and spellchecked as Hungarian text.

In other words, "Associate all new text with the following language” in Atlantis does just the same as “OPTION/COMPOSITION/SPELLING” does in Thunderbird.

I can't believe my eyes! You have added support for an open-source spell-check engine! At last, after many years of doubts and users prays...
My congratulations! :D I'm quite sure it will bring plenty of new users of Atlantis.

The next summit to be conquered is implementing tables support. Thus the both missed features most wanted by users is done!

Is it possible to add accelerators to all or at least the most often used entries of spellcheck menu, at the first, "Add to dictionary" and "Ignore all"?
Thanks!

Why don’t you press “F7” instead of right-clicking the red-underlined misspellings? You would get all the accelerator keys you need in the “Spellcheck” dialog.

HTH.

Thank you Robert! You are right... although not absolutely. Actually context menu for the "misspelled" word is more intuitive and convenient.
As Atlantis has the two types of dialog/menu for spellchecking functions, it would be nice to have the same accelerator keys for the both.

There is a problem of coherence. If you start using the mouse, why not carry on with the mouse?

What’s more, the right-click context menu could not have accelerator keys for the suggested words. You would have to use the mouse to select the appropriate suggestion, if any.

The context menu can be called with a press to the Menu key, and you can navigate among the suggestions with the cursor keys.

The accelerator keys will be added to the spellcheck context menu in any next release of Atlantis.

This is great news indeed!

There is a rather undocumented command in Atlantis called “Show next misspelling”:

Image

If you assign a hot key to this command, and use that hot key in a document, Atlantis will take you to the next misspelling, and automatically open the spellchecker context menu.

So when Atlantis has accelerator keys in this spellchecker context menu, you’ll be able to call it up with your custom hot key, and use the accelerator keys to activate any appropriate command in it. You won’t need to use the mouse at all!
