Square bracket symbols appeared with every chapter title
I've completed the book and I'm adding the index and table of contents but now some square bracket symbols have appeared at the ends of every chapter title which is set for a Heading 1 style. This did not appear until now and is not the same as the brackets created from the keyboard. How do I remove them?

Most likely these are the bookmarks automatically associated with the Heading-style paragraphs by Atlantis whenever it creates a TOC.
Such bookmarks are the targets of the TOC hyperlinks.
If you remove them, the TOC won’t work.
But, do not worry: these bookmarks are non-printing characters. They won’t be displayed unless you activate the “View | Special Symbols” mode.
