1.6.6.1 vs 2.0.6 document length

Just started to use 2.0.6 and have an issue.

When I open a manuscript I have under 1.6.6.1 the document length is 498 pages. When I open it under 2.0.6 the length is 518 pages.

I recall having this issue before and I thought it was something to do with header/footer and I thought I resolved this (Only using 1.6.6.1)

There must be a setting in 2.0.6 which is causing this. Any ideas?

The document pagination algorithms in 1.x and 2.x (and higher) are quite different. This might be very well the cause of different page count.

Thanks for the heads up. Hmm..I guess I'm stuck using 1.6.x then. Ok, kinda sucks.

Maybe I can switch when I go to a hardcover and have to do typesetting again.

Is the algorithm the same between 2.x and 3.x?
