Customize highlighted word color in spellcheck

I would like to change the default high lighted color of my misspelled words to something besides gray. Like red for example.

Is this possible?

Can it be a feature?

The wavy underline color for misspellings is red when the background color is white. Otherwise it depends on the background color.

Do you use a non-white page background?
